@fahrenthold
Trump spox Hope Hicks: "Mr. Trump and the campaign do not agree," that Clinton should be executed by firing squad. https://t.co/IWprpg2X1c

@AnnieLowrey
Really, "cunt" is the hot new vernacular at the RNC. What a time to be alive.

If you did not think that there is a mental health crisis in America, it has been being televised and scrutinized live from Cleveland all week.

Please do not compare me and other people suffering from mental illnesses to the collection of bitter bigots gathered to worship a pompous orange turd.

A US air strike in Syria killed 85 civilians after mistaking them for ISIS fighters.

What the story IS about is yet another instance of Trump and his campaign showing that, when it comes to politics and the administration of his campaign, it's amateur hour. Being an outsider cuts both ways: It's great if you're not beholden to the establishment, but not so great if you don't know how to captain the ship -- and this is a really, really important ship with lots of people's lives, liberties and pursuits of happiness involved.

Worse yet, this would-be captain is allergic to expert advice on how to run his ship. Maps? Radar? Sonar? Charts? Navigation equipment? Not for this guy. He trusts his gut! As I've said before, even with all his other problems, maybe the single biggest reason he should never be President is he doesn't know what he doesn't know and, worse yet, doesn't WANT to know.

This is a superb analysis.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

for whenever the audience gets bored, at the bottom of the stage theres a sticky note with "HILLARY = PRISON" written in easy to read sharpie ink positioned near the speaker's feet to remind them to get the crowd fired up again.

Rick Scott was featured speaker in the prime 7pm spot - even Manafort took one look at him & realized you don't want to be frightening anyone on the fence

The political podcast on the ringer is well worth it. Mentioned among other things, that Trump's Republican experts are holdovers from the miserable Dole campaign. The best Republican operatives just aren't interested in advancing him.

Kasich played it smart to jockey for 2020. He stayed in the race long enough to get his name recognition up, stayed out of petty squabbling, and then didn't back Trump or attend the convention. He's going to be the heavy favorite to come out of the Republican primaries next election cycle.

Wow, not sure there's any strong signs of that at all.

Are you imagining that Rs emerge from a top-ticket thumping with everything sorted out for them? I mean this is even assuming that there' s enough negative outcome down-ballot get their minds right
