Had a doctor's appointment today. Cholesterol was borderline high but still in the normal range. STEAK for dinner then.

Speaking of steaks, I'm about to grill some Prime Sirloins on the Big Green Egg. Finishing up the corn on the Cobb and potatoes right now.

took my family fishing yesterday on the Chesapeake. Beautiful evening, warm but a nice breeze out of the southwest.

Ended up with a mess of white perch, lots of undersized striped bass, a few spot, and I caught a 40 pound cownose ray. My kids were dumbfounded when I got up next to the boat and they saw it flapping its wings. It actually straightened out my hook so release was easy.

On a sadder nose, we also caught two 28 inch stripers that were badly infected with mycobacteriosis, a terrible infection that can be passed to humans and is lethal if not treated promptly. The Maryland DNR believes up to 70% of stripers have the disease, which ends up being fatal to fish. Brutal stuff, the water quality in the Bay, while the best its been in years, is still in need of major improvement.

My sister is visiting until Sunday along with her new baby. I don't want a baby anymore I don't think. It is very cute and fun but mostly he just yells and bawls in between.

 No I do adore him but I can't help but wonder if I could get through non stop crying for hours every day. My mom said I was the biggest asshole baby ever so I am sure if and when we have one it will be a test. I am not a qualified dad. I don't really even like thinking of having to change a diaper let alone having to do it.

I am not sure if this will offend or bother either but the only two people's SN's I get confused by are Youseff and Gimpy. I think they are exactly opposite maybe? Maybe not.

That is probably two of my top five favorite foods. Corn on the cobb with a steak. Most people make clumped up mashed potatoes which makes them suck. Hopefully you make them smooth.

Baked potatoes my man. Actually cooked in the Egg. Turned out scrumptious.

I like lumpy mashed potatoes better than perfectly smooth. But I liked baked potatoes better than either.

And another BSG pointless debate:

Mashed potatoes rule, especially with garlic mashed in there.
