You've certainly been consistent on this, but Kasich was convincingly the #notTrump winner in NY, and has a chance to be the #notTrump winner in each of the April 26 primaries. If this happens are you still hoping he'll go away, or would you rather his campaign gains strength nationally?
JH is so persistent in his Kasich hate that I almost wonder if the GOP thinks they have someone to replace Trump at the convention and Kasich being there as a "sane" alternative is going to mess it up.
Or not.
I love Monkeyboy's image of the Republican Party as an institution. To most of the world this cycle has exposed the party apparatus as a paper tiger, completely unable to influence the selection of a palatable nominee. It is lacking in any real power - no carrots or sticks, divided by personal and policy differences, and been steamrolled by two of the people it hates the most in politics.
But not everyone is fooled by this show of impotence we're putting on. The GOP - who comprises this portion of "the GOP" is entirely unclear - will still get its way and launch Paul Ryan into the White House, if only that dastardly Kasich will get out of the way! That's definitely what's driving my antipathy for him.

“People assume oh, are you – you must be miserable. You've got a horrible job. But I don't see it that way,” Priebus said in the interview. “I'm not pouring Baileys in my cereal, I’m not sitting here trying to find a Johnnie Walker.”
“This is fun."
Later in the segment, the RNC chair shot hoops with a miniature basketball hoop in his office, showed off his “prized possessions,” which included the chair Clint Eastwood infamously talked to at the 2012 convention, and played a tune on a keyboard.
Priebus also acknowledged that damage control comes with the territory.
“Sometimes you can’t fix it. Sometimes you can just take a seven-alarm fire and make it into a four-alarm fire. It's still burning, but it's not as bad as it was,” he said.

Saw someone say on Twitter that by saying he's not pouring Baileys in his cereal it shows he's at least considered pouring Baileys in his cereal.

CalvinBall wrote:the EMSI--End Modern Slavery Initiative Act. It is close to being able to get passed. Only have a small window left though. Maybe 2 months. If not, probably have to start all over again. You would be shocked to learn that Ted Cruz is one of the people holding it up.

cruz (and others) thinks and claims it will allow money to go to organizations that support abortions. it won't. they had the same exact problem with a different anti-trafficking bill that got passed Spring 2015. There was a pretty big battle over that one. A ton of Rs already support this one.
Casey and Toomey have not co-sponsored. If you want to call their office today and express your support for the bill that would be great. People will probably be visiting their offices today too. For Casey you just leave a message (they don't answer the phone). Toomey you may speak to someone. Regardless, it is really easy.

Hi, my name is [YOUR NAME] and I'm calling from [YOUR CITY, STATE]
I'm calling to ask Senator [SENATOR'S NAME] to co-sponsor the End Modern Slavery Initiative Act, or S.553
This legislation would strengthen the U.S. response to modern-day slavery around the world, an issue I care about deeply.
Would you please pass my message on to the senator?
Thank you!
