Still think the odds are pretty low for this. At this point I'd guess something like 60% Trump 1st ballot, 35% Cruz 2nd or 3rd ballot, 5% other.SK790 wrote:i'm really starting to worry that hillary will lose if the Rs backdoor someone even somewhat reasonable on the ticket. excitement for her will be super low from the far left. i think her vs cruz or trump would be more lopsided than 2008.

"nah we're going to give up" doesn't inspire people to vote.

true, but assailing the undemocratic parts of the system while saying you'll then use this OTHER undemocratic part in order to secure your nomination isn't a good look

You've certainly been consistent on this, but Kasich was convincingly the #notTrump winner in NY, and has a chance to be the #notTrump winner in each of the April 26 primaries. If this happens are you still hoping he'll go away, or would you rather his campaign gains strength nationally?
JH is so persistent in his Kasich hate that I almost wonder if the GOP thinks they have someone to replace Trump at the convention and Kasich being there as a "sane" alternative is going to mess it up.
Or not.
