It appears unlikely.

Sanders should stay in. He's still not mathematically eliminated and may not ever be. He serves to push the left narrative, something the party needs and keeps the race relevant. If next Tuesday goes just as poorly as this one then he should probably tone down the attacks knowing the writing is on the wall and I'd wager he does that.

Also, knowing how bad some of the legislation in the Clinton era was and is for black americans and Hillary's championing that legislation, can someone tell me why blacks vote for her in such huge numbers? This is a serious question. Is Bernie just too old, white, and rural?

Yeah I'm just a casual observer, but the notion that Sanders going in on Clinton (and vice versa) lowers the chances that someone who would vote for either of them still will seems way overblown

many were for the legislation at the time, and many black lawmakers helped craft it. sanders also voted for it, so it's sort of a moot point.

the 90s were a time of prosperity and a lifting of all boats for many who previously did not have the American dream, and that disproportionately helped black Americans accumulate wealth, many of whom are now the people voting for her in the primary. this is also why you likely don't see the rates as high among younger black people, they didn't live through the 90s unless they were very, very young.

One person called the bill "both smart and tough" while the other spoke passionately against it multiple times while also vigorously supporting the Violence Against Women Act, which is the reason he ended up voting for the crime bill. But I guess they had pretty much the same point of view.

The first criminal charges stemming from the Flint, Mich., water crisis were filed on Wednesday, as two state officials and a city employee were accused of covering up evidence of lead contamination.

Two officials at the state Department of Environmental Quality were charged with misleading the federal Environmental Protection Agency about whether Flint was using the treatment needed to control lead levels after the city switched its water supply in 2014.

The officials Michael Prysby, a district engineer, and Stephen Busch, a district supervisor, were also accused of impeding a Genesee County investigation. And Michael Glasglow, the city’s utilities administrator, was charged with tampering with test results to make the lead contamination appear less severe.

The charges were brought by the state attorney general, Bill Schuette, and authorized by Judge Tracy Collier-Nix of Genesee District Court.

Compromise is for the weak. Sounds like incrementalism to me. He shouldve stuck to his guns; instead, he voted for the law. Sad!

Gotta bring the snark when you're defending Hilldawg. Lord knows that referencing her positions won't be very useful.

i mean, he voted for the law. a vote is the ultimate support. it was an incremental move that he supported but now his supporters dislike incremental moves. sure, she and he agree on most things, and voted nearly identically, but she's fake and a fraud and has done more harm any other Democratic politician, ESPECIALLY when she wasn't a politician. And, all the things Republicans have been smearing her with for 20+ years are actually all true and we as Democrats should know she's going to be thrown in jail, anyway.

i've listed many things she is for and has stated during this campaign, and they are simply dismissed as her either 'moving' (which, of course, is the point of Sanders running against her and we should be HAPPY she moved) her position or that not REALLY being her position. it's pointless for me to attempt to bring anything up here besides a little sarcasm because i'll simply be arguing when no one is going to be swayed here.

i voted obama in the past two cycles. she ran a terrible campaign and was surrounded by terrible people. she's done a lot of good since then and is running a good campaign. i believe she'll be a much better executive than sanders. it's a pro-clinton vote more than an anti-sanders vote. that's why i'm voting for her.

can't believe someone who was first lady, a ny state senator, and secretary of state could hold different views at different times.

This is generally not how delegates work though. You don't get to pick your own very often.

Even if it were, what the hell kind of a prize is being the VP on a ticket that will get absolutely annihilated in November in all likelihood?

I mean, I know it was a boon to the political careers of Jack Kemp and Geraldine Ferraro, but they are the exceptions that prove the rule.

You've certainly been consistent on this, but Kasich was convincingly the #notTrump winner in NY, and has a chance to be the #notTrump winner in each of the April 26 primaries. If this happens are you still hoping he'll go away, or would you rather his campaign gains strength nationally?

JH is so persistent in his Kasich hate that I almost wonder if the GOP thinks they have someone to replace Trump at the convention and Kasich being there as a "sane" alternative is going to mess it up.

Or not.

Sanders is approaching John Kasich-level pigheadedness by continuing in a fight that he simply cannot win (unless something catastrophic were to befall the Clinton campaign, i.e. an indictment or similar). There is absolutely no way that Sanders is going to convince the supers to abandon Clinton after her performances.

Sanders should be extremely proud of what he accomplished over these past months but it is time to do the right thing for the country. God forbid Donald Trump gets any closer to the Oval Office than the guided tour.

Agreed. It's time. I can't see supers switching, especially after Clinton was gracious in '08 (after Obama locked it up).
