just OOC, do you think the Dust Bowl exodus was just a fine, normal thing and not a total disaster for everyone involved except a few banks?

I wonder if Garland might be a sacrificial lamb, i.e., Obama knows he won't get an appointment confirmed and rather than making a more liberal candidate go through the ultra-partisan process, he's nominating Garland.

it would be really be risky for them to not confirm him

get a somewhat moderate justice now with a smaller shelf life

or hope Trump doesn't get nomination and somehow Cruz wins the general or else get much more liberal justice that's in their 40's

Politico reporter denied access to Trump event because of a story he wrote.

POLITICO is far from alone among media organizations being denied entry to Trump events. The Des Moines Register, Univision, Fusion, The Huffington Post, National Review, Mother Jones and BuzzFeed have all been denied credentials to Trump's events, often after publishing critical stories about the campaign. In January, New York Times reporter Trip Gabriel was ejected from an event in Iowa after writing about Trump's weak ground game in the state, which he eventually lost to Ted Cruz.

What's weird to me is how obvious it is that, were he eligible, President Obama could coast to a third term over anybody in the field right now.

Can't wait to spend the next 30 years deifying him to an unreasonable degree and invoking his name at every opportunity as a paragon of true and great Americanism. Fuck you Ronald Reagan.

There's a kid wearing a Kansas Jayhawks jacket behind Kasich at his event at Villanova, and if that's not the greatest troll job ever, then I don't know what is.

^the line you'll see over and over

Orrin Hatch has decided not to meet with Garland. It took a week for Hatch to change his mind. Remember, it's not about the person, it's about the principle of opposing the President.

Trump pulls out of debate, so Kasich pulls out of debate, so debate cancelled. What, exactly, is the point of John Kasich's campaign if he wouldn't show up and debate Ted Cruz and highlight Trump's absence? I'd probably kick him in the nuts if he was in my apartment right now.

He's probably right, but I think there will be riots either way.
