If it is a Christie endorsement, I don't know if it helps Trump, but I think that it EITHER proves we Democrats were right and that Christie is a petulant, childish asshole and the Republican establishment was right to distrust him - OR, depending on how clever you think Christie is, and how much you want to believe in him, you could argue that this is a crazy-like-a-fox attempt on the part of Christie "the Obama Hugger" to sabotage Trump by associating his RINO self with him and thus help the Republican party.

It helps him by stealing the news cycle back from Rubio after last night/this morning. Plus it is major signalling to other party types that it's OK to get on board with this disaster. And it feeds into the inevitability narrative that can be hard to stop.

Huge for NJ too. This will ruin Christie's relationship with a number of County R chairs he was already on thin ice with. Lot of veto overrides coming.
