In news that affects probably only me, Starbucks is changing its loyalty program. Currently, you earn a star for each purchase (regardless of price) and after 12 stars you got a free drink or food item (with small exceptions). The new program will require 125 stars which are earned at a rate of 2 per every $1 spent. I only ever buy a hot coffee when I go on the weekend which costs less than $3. In the current system I would have to spend between $24-$36 to get a free breakfast sandwich, but now I'll have to spend $62.50.

time to switch to newsstand coffee like i did. my wakeup juice doesn't need to taste THAT good. or brew your own at home and bring it! i do that too. I'm sure the fellas who put butter in their coffee can give you some tips.
