HHS finds no violations with Planned Parenthood and fetal tissue laws. Same result as investigations in Massachusetts, Georgia, Indiana and South Dakota. Investigations in Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas are still pending but are unlikely to find any wrongdoing since they either don't participate in a donation program or don't even do abortions in those states (Louisiana, for example).

Sounds like Walker is about ready to fire his staff and start over.

To be fair, while I doubt he actually knew, or even now knows, the Constitution's provisions regarding citizenship, neither does his target constituency

I might hazard a guess that there's some Trump money involved here.

This is the equivalent of people that are obsessed with talking about how guys in the NBA travel every play whenever basketball is brought up.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

WND? I think they are genuinely backing Trump because they found the looniest dude that is closest to them. So now they are attacking the others to back up Trump. I don't think Trump has anything to do with it directly, either.

Trump is really changing the debate on the right side of the aisle though, gotta give him that. These guys are going further right to try and beat him.

they’re people who believe the Constitution is sacred and inviolate.

"Sacred". "Inviolate". That is, they're fetishists. And you don't need those.

oh, and this

The understanding is that you be born of American parents with unquestioned loyalty to the United States.

is purest driven bullshit because wtf could it even mean other than "anything my fetishist psychotic racist jingo-ass imagines it to mean"?

There was a good editorial in the New York Times about this nonsense a few weeks ago: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/22/opini ... .html?_r=0

As I've posted once or twice in the past, I've noted some parallels between the Republicans today and the Democrats of the late 60 early 70s. There are important differences--most critically, ideological purity is far stronger today than it was then (Note--Carter in 1976 was considered a conservative and probably would have lost to Ford had Ford not pardoned Nixon) and the timing seems off a bit.

But if Romney was the Republican answer to Humphrey, is Trump the Republican's crazier version of McGovern?

And maybe Hillary is the Dem equivalent of Nixon?

We can keep playing this fun game--Obama as Goldwater doesn't really work but Bush as LBJ sort of might.

Is there a credible alternative to the Iran deal other than war? Shouldn't Rand be supporting the deal if he was ideologically consistent?

We got years of the administration telling us no deal was preferable to a bad deal. Then they accepted a bad deal, and now the only alternative to the bad deal is war.

Consistency.

Fair enough, but do you really think Iran will come back to the table or accept stricter terms that violate its sovereignty in ways that will inflame their ultra conservative sect even more?

If not, we are either A. Going to go to war in a year or two when they are close to a bomb B. Going to do nothing as they achieve a bomb much sooner than they would under this deal.

Is there a C?
