It's more than that. Greece and Russia have always had good relations due to the Orthodox connection. Serbia too.

I suspect the Greeks could offer the use of some of their ports or airfields in exchange for a few billion drachma. I also think that might be the end of NATO, which, at this point, isn't the worst outcome in the world.
