So over this Bruce Jenner thing already.

After service on Sunday, a bunch of us Methodists went to a Sikh Gurudwara in Kent. It was awesome kewl. We are trying to make connections with other religions in our area to encourage understanding and acceptance amongst folks who appear to be very different from us. It turns out our church and the Gurudwara have a lot in common as well as interesting differences.

I have no expectation of changing the world. But I think taking small steps to encourage stuff like peace, love and understanding amongst different religions and cultures is a good thing. Much better in my view, than condemning other people for not being exactly like us.

how do i convince my mom to stop giving to every charity on the planet? after last week's jamaican lottery scare, I got online access to her bank accounts (I guess I should really get POA to make it legal though). She gets like $1400 a month from SSI and sends out like $500 a month to charities

Maybe tell her all the charities are as much of a scam as the Jamaican lottery? Could she volunteer her time instead of her money if she wants to help? Or maybe she has done some really awful shit in her past and the only way she can make herself feel better is to give a third of her money to charity?

Coworker(female) dealing with a cute customer across the way, I hand signal to my coworker jokingly to get the customers number for me. She gives me the thumbs up I'm a sarcastic way I thought like yea sure.

I go about my business and 10 min later my coworker comes back showing me her hand with a phone number on it saying she got it. Thinking this is a joke I asked what she did to get it she said my coworker thinks you're cute and wants your number where then she looked over and said sure and had her take the number.
