Yeah big fan of yard work but not interested in doing landscaping. It would destroy all the fun of it.

One of my favorite days of the year is turning/planting my vegetable garden.

I've got about an acre and a quarter and it's got a pretty good slope to it. I looked at one of those self propelled push jobs yesterday at sears too, the guy said it would take about 2.5-3 hours to cut my yard with that. While I do enjoy yard work and a good workout while doing it, I'd like to be able to cut the grass after work without running out of daylight.

I wouldn't trust the guy from sears. #1, he wants you to buy the more expensive thing, and #2, HE WORKS FOR SEARS

seriously, that sounds really high. I'd say 60-75 minutes. and if you can spare some weekday time, I'll throw my battery-powered self-propelled mower in the car and bring it down if you want to see really how long it would take. I'm a big fan of this thing. How much of the 1.25 is actually grass?? Oh, and I saw the pic on FB over the weekend. What you're REALLY gonna hate is leaf season. I'd say your best bet there is one of those push blowers.

I've got a flat acre total. There's a section that largely shrubbery I ignore, two sheds, plus of course the house. So probably about 3/4 an acre of actual lawn. I will one day buy a mower with a bigger deck, but not until my current one fails (and it's pretty new so that's a few years out....) It takes me a bit over 2 hours to mow the whole thing. What slows me down are all the obstacles--trees, landscaping, etc.

This is the best part of having a twin. I trimmed and mowed in about 40 minutes total on Saturday. Mowing alone takes about 15 minutes.

I worked for Sears for a summer. We unloaded trucks in the morning and played hockey on the dock all afternoon. Second-favorite PT job ever.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

Yeah, having two people does help, but they don't have to be twins.
