This is a lot more lawn than I'm used to. (pip) Took me over an hour to do the first cut of the year.

According to some internet site, that's about a 400 calorie workout.

anyone know anything about riding mowers? I hired someone to cut the grass last year and they are doing it again this year, but I think I might just wanna do it myself instead. I checked them out at sears and lowes and I just don't really know anything about them except they start at a grand a go up from there. I think I'm looking for something with around a 42" cutting deck, I don't need anything bigger than that. Help me bsg

Buy a shitty push mower and make your kid do it. My dad didn't buy a riding mower until the day after I left for college. It builds character, they say

If an effective long-term mowing solution is what you're after, I have one word for you:

gravel
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Make sure your riding mower has a cupholder

What size lawn do you need to justify a riding mower? And there's always the self-propelled kind that you just walk behind.

I've always loved mowing lawns and yard work in general. Always toyed with the idea of starting my own landscaping business.

Mowing the lawn was my most hated chore as a kid. Probably to do with the fact that we had a big apple tree in our yard and I was virtually guaranteed to walk face-first into a spider web every single time, not to mention dealing with yellow jackets later in the summer.
