Yah, but I've found guys that smart at one thing rarely have the capacity to spread it to other topics

I've found quite the opposite; that is, someone extraordinary at something is at least in the range of normal to above average at other somewhat similar things.

I mean Michael Jordan wasn't a major league caliber baseball player, but he's pretty good, and is a hella golfer I hear.

For me, Jordan would have to be like a 20-handicapper for Carson's intellectual skills disjunction to be comparable
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

I meant intellectually. My infamous former boss is a great example

I think there's a fairly even spread. Some dudes/gals are just so obsessive they only really care intensely about one(or very few) thing(s). I've also met dudes/gals who are brilliant at many things.

I think you have a point, though, mostly because you have to devote a massive amount of time at being good at something or understanding it.

Yeah, but I'm talking truly brilliant, like top neurosurgeon, top researcher in his field like my boss was. How many people can you know like that

The Menendez thing might torpedo Fulop's chances too. Menendez and McGreevey are his two biggest backers.

Or--smart does not always equal logical and rational. To think things through rationally is a choice.

Perpetual campaigning.

That and the enormous amount of money in the process are the two things I think we most need to change. They're related, of course.

Playing politics with Iran. Amazing. Undermining the President while we're negotiating with a foreign power. Whatever happened to 'respect for the Commander in Chief'?

Why is the only country that has used nuclear weapons against a foreign population able to dictate who is allowed to possess these weapons? America leads by example.

Duh.

BTW, I'm glad to see that it only took two months for Tom Cotton to start acting like a jackass. No way does something like this create problems for the GOP in 2016.
