Pretty much why I voted. I'm not sure I actually hope she *wins,* but I sure want her to throw a major scare into Cuomo.

And it would be legitimately great if Tim Wu, her running mate, beat why-is-she-even-a-"Democrat" Kathy Hochul.

DKElections tweeted something yesterday or today quoting Hochul complaining she didn't realize when she accepted his offer to run as LG that she would have to win the primary on her own, and that they weren't a ticket

Good job looking into the job you're seeking

She's hilariously awful. Since she wouldn't debate Wu, he put together an ad where she debates herself:

Embarrassing win for Cuomo. What a chump.

Voters appear to be largely uninformed if they didnt vote Wu. Money wins.

475 troops to train Kurdish and Iraqi forces (glad we are finally just admitting they're different) and arming rebels in Syria.

really, that's as good as I was going to get as far as staying out

it seems like delay, delay, delay as far as us getting on the ground, which i like. I guess it means we finally vetted who we could trust to lead the rebellion, too (not following anything John McCain said)

Are you for going into Syria as far as something with more risk for us? Curious what you think there. I don't see where it helps our security to go into that fight directly. you would know more than me, though

Fucks News' take on Obama's action an:

1) his plan to act is a "stark reversal" of his plan to devise a plan to act

2) it's shocking that he decided to address the American people about his plan to act

3) his plan to act borrows all the elements of every wingut idea of what to do in the mideast hellholes

4) but since it's his plan now, probably none of it will work at all

oh, and Brit Hume is some kind of 2-legged rodent
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Airstrikes are never decisive unfortunately...I also have serious doubts using proxy forces although the Kurds are better than the Iraqis by far.

Going into Syria is mandatory, they are there in strength. There's no way to avoid it. You can't just push them into Syria and hope they wither away. They'll either strike somewhere else or overthrow Assad.

This is a massive shit sandwich.

he's going it alone because, despite all the bluster from them, Congress is completely and utterly inept. They are a political animal bereft of the ability to govern, due to the leadership of the House. it's amazing how all these war hawks don't want to step up and mark their vote.

LG - Can we hit the rewind button and never go into Iraq in the first place?

I've read things about people wanting Turkey to lead the way, along with Egypt. Turkey will be a bit weirded out with us training the Kurds, no?

Indeed. Why don't we just send in some mercenaries in there. They get paid good. Maybe Dick Cheyney can lead the way.

John McCain is a vile bastard of a human.

The Turks are very happy with the Kurds right now, the oil and gas is flowing through Turkey...the Turks are getting a cut of the fossil fuel, they are getting tolls for passing them through the borders, and Irbil is under a huge construction boom...and the vast majority of workers there are Turkish...I doubt Egypt will be involved.

i knew the Kurds took over the major oil fields, but didn't realize they flowed through Turkey. Makes sense, though.

Turks happy with the Kurds? Wow. Never thought that would happen.

Yep, very nice set up for both sides.

I really, really hope I get to see an independent Kurdistan while I am alive. These folks LOVE America and Americans. They deserve a country as well. And they aren't Arab...

He and his tommy gun are both tanned and rested I'm told. Patty Hearst has lost the fire though.
