blows my mind that people are cheerfully moving north of Girard in Fairmount now. just 8 years ago I lived half a block under Girard and walked above maybe twice and only for nefarious reasons

Am I in a decent area? My gf's best friend's cousin posted her three roommates are moving out aug 1st and she wanted to stay in the same place. Was affordable, close to temple, the fairmount subway stop and a bus stop. I'll be pretty busy anyway so I just needed a place to stay that wouldn't bankrupt me. Hope it's not awful.

Close on the sale of our house at 12:30 Tuesday, close on the purchase of our new home at 1:00. So, I guess for about half an hour we'll be homeless. Spare a dollar?
We still haven't completely settled on a moving date. There are 4 houses in a chain. The house at the top of the chain is empty, but everyone else has to move their shit. Fortunately, the house we're moving into is basically move-in ready, though we'll do some painting and other stuff after we move in.
