Is Russia going to annex eastern Ukraine? Looks possible.

Hmm...if I enter Chris, I'm most likely a democrat. If enter Christopher, I'm most like a republican.

got that right.

smooth is not in the database (w.t.f.) so I tried Peaches (8,054th most common name), who IS in the db, is overwhelmingly likely to be democrat (77+%), probably packs a gun, (52%) and skips church (22.9%)

Looks like the Soviets, err, Russians, are using old school Spetsnaz infiltration tactics to seize key infrastructure in the Crimea.

I suspect we're going to see the Ukrainian military splinter along ethnic lines very quickly, and the Sovs, uh, Russkies, will use this fracturing to send conventional military units into larger portions of Ukraine to "protect ethnic Russians and their interests."

My call is that NATO and the US will sit back and do nothing, we have zero strategic leverage and we're not going to start WWIII over the Crimean Peninsula. In many ways, this is going to be a repeat of the 1956 Budapest uprisings.

Obama for American/Organizing for Action

It's great from start to finish. Romney mocked for saying Russia is our biggest geopolitical foe. The shot at Palin, who in 2008 suggested Russia might invade Ukraine. Our fearless Secretary of State, who just yesterday told us to remain calm, all is well, trashing Mitt for being right.

worth noting that palin said they'd invade if obama won. like it was contingent on him being in charge. it's not like obama is coming out in support of russia. what's the alternative? getting involved in another conflict that might break out into civil war? no thanks.

& what made it funny was that it captured the essence of Palin's own summary of her qualifications to actually have any kind of role in running the USA.

Put that in your Jesus & Christ it

Doll is Mine's vote was counted, and even though we didn't have early voting, turnout was up this year.

And its hilarious that you're giving Sarah points for "predicting" Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2008. It's like crediting McCain for knowing that somewhere someone's shooting at someone else and the US should have a hand in it

Well that was for extra credit. There's the underlying fact that you can see Russia from Alaska, so what she said was true.
