yes, at least judging by me, it's very common to think of soren when you hear anything about MTG

I'm watching I want a dog for Christmas Charlie Brown and where the fuck did this rerun character come from. The only rerun I remember as a youth was the fat kid from what's happening or the sequel to that very fine sitcom what's happening now. Seriously this rerun is fucking annoying. He is personally responsible for ruining my reminiscing of the simpler times as a young child.

It's hugely popular. There are pro tour events going on year round as well as "Friday Night Magic" which is the most popular format that something like 75-90% of players participate in.

the guy that runs the jenkintown store desperately wants to make it more of a gaming store as opposed to a card shop. He only really draws a crowd for drafts and friday night magic. The shop in Doylestown has a much bigger and diversified MTG play group. FNM, EDH, Modern and Legacy. Don't think they play any Vintage. A Vintage deck starts at about $5K to build; which is why not to many people play Vintage.

should also mention I don't play any of the tournament formats. Too much $$$ and I hate the douchebags that play those. (although googling it it looks like I could make a legacy deck for under $200)

i played magic in the 6th grade. had an awesome green deck

I was always determined to make blue counterspell decks work but it was pretty hard, especially cause the best cards for it were rare and pricy

it was a big deal in 1997. now you can buy it online for less than 50 cents and its kind of shitty anyway
