While that's a nice ballpark, it's a little too vague for me. Trying to lock this down and get accepted, like, no diggity. Too old to have to wait another year...
Practice tests I'm sitting between 70-80% both sections...hoping that's "far enough away" to stand out.

It really depends on a lot--field, program, and your particular goals. If you're going PhD in the hopes of teaching college, you'll probably want a higher score than that, but your LoRs and writing sample will carry a lot of weight. DON'T GO UNLESS YOU GET FULLY FUNDED. Your GPA matters too. If, on the other hand, you're looking to get into your regional university MPA or social work program, it's not all that important.
