And in political science, the subject score is irrelevant. Also, I took the GRE in 1990. And I don't really remember my scores. But I have tenure.

It depends what you're going for. I know for meteorology the only real part that mattered was the math.

The woman that coordinates admissions said, "The further you can get from the 50% group, the better"

While that's a nice ballpark, it's a little too vague for me. Trying to lock this down and get accepted, like, no diggity. Too old to have to wait another year...

Practice tests I'm sitting between 70-80% both sections...hoping that's "far enough away" to stand out.

It really depends on a lot--field, program, and your particular goals. If you're going PhD in the hopes of teaching college, you'll probably want a higher score than that, but your LoRs and writing sample will carry a lot of weight. DON'T GO UNLESS YOU GET FULLY FUNDED. Your GPA matters too. If, on the other hand, you're looking to get into your regional university MPA or social work program, it's not all that important.

This should be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd point made to anyone considering a Ph.D

Thanks. Not a PhD, Physical therapy program. The entering class profile says average GRE score 59-69% depending on section, so I'm hoping to surpass the high mark on both sections.

Next question: Anyone ever busted out of an apartment lease early? Neighbor just moved in across the hall...complete fucking asshole. Slamming doors, dishes, constantly screaming at her kids (all hours). Wife just got a pay bump, so we're looking to bounce...

I'm not a PT, I work for a publisher that publishes health professions texts. What was your undergrad in?

before you tell your landlord you want to break the lease, i would casually start looking to fill the vacancy. If you find someone to take over you should be fine

i guess it depends how you use internet. if you just browse sites it'd be fine, i guess, but i wouldn't pay the additional for unlimited data on 4g over just paying $50 for a great connection from vios or comcast.

make sure it works well first. I planned to do this with my Sprint unlimited plan - paying the extra 15 bucks for their tethering option and everything - but it just worked terribly, constantly dropping out, have to disconnect and reconnect just to get it working for 15 more minutes, spending hours with tech support who had no clue, but by then I had already cancelled a cheap DSL plan I was grandfathered into. stupid

Been back on Miami Beach for less than 12 hours and I'm already trying to think of a way back. Only left because of the job situation 3 years ago. Shouldn't be as difficult now.

Cuban food is amazing.
