Crutchfield is the best. I ordered a new car stereo yesterday at 4:10 PM and it was delivered today at 1:30 PM with no shipping charges. Finally gonna be able to listen to Spotify and whatnot in the car (assuming I don't botch the install, anyway).

come over and help me reinstall my entire car stereo. need to run new RCAs from unit to amp. need to re-install amps in back of trunk as well.

i need to buy a bluetooth head unit.

For $15, works great and its not apple specific, it comes with a iPhone charging cable, but the device just has a USB port for charging and the audio goes over Bluetooth. The hands free calling works well too on it.

I'm not sure what the factory speakers are. Whatever cheapo brand Subaru uses. The support dude at Crutchfield said it will work fine and should even make them sound better than they did with the stock radio. It came with a special wiring harness that's supposed to make it work.

word. just making sure its not a high end stereo that you're replacing. those bose/boston and other high end guys all run at a different ohm and are preamped in the head unit. a head unit you buy from crutchfield or the store isn't going to be preamped and they won't give enough power to the speakers. if its the cheapo stuff then you should be OK.

Ahh nice. Yeah when I bought the car they didn't have any sort of stereo upgrade available, so it's definitely nothing fancy.

Where'd you get it for $15? Amazon has it for $79

I got it from daily steals back in May, they just came up again on there last week and I bought the home version and the portable battery powered ones as well.

I dunno if you ever go on slickdeals.net, but they have a deal alert function where you can be notified when a deal for something specific comes up. You might wanna try that, I've been using them for years when I'm shopping for stuff to get a good price on things. Like right now, I want to get a roku, so I have an alert setup whenever a deal for a roku comes up I get an email so I can just keep tabs on what the prices are doing and then grab it when I find the deal I want.
