I bought these apples at Costco which are quite literally about the size of softballs. Supposedly organic, but I think these guys are on something. Delicious though.

I was in Boy Scouts when I was about 10--a Webelo, which is about the gayest sounding thing ever.I had this vision of camping, building fires, playing with knives and bow and arrows. My God what a letdown. It couldn't end soon enough, it was so boring.

Webelos were Cub Scouts. i did the same thing Housh did

in boy scouts i did some awesome things. lived off a sailboat for a week in the florida keys and snorkeled every day. went camping/canoeing on this lake in canada. learned how to start fires, tie knots, build things out of sticks and tree limbs. i disliked a lot of it. but im glad i did it.

When I was in boy scouts we'd chase each other around the woods and hit each other with sticks.

I didn't go for eagle.

Never made Eagle--got to Life Scout, mostly on the strength of merit badges I'd earn in summer camp, because that's what you'd do at summer camp. Highlight for me was Philmont in New Mexico--an 11 day backpacking trip. I really just like camping and hiking, and never really was into merit badges.

I never was interested in cub scouts--it seemed like all they did was stuff like make birdfeeders and shit.

I used to collect the little Smurf figurines. I had hundreds of them. Does anyone remember the Smurf figurines that were made of clay that you molded and painted them?

Stopped at Webelos. Never got the stupid Arrow of Light.

Also, stupid name.

Really? I thought it was named for the majestic Chittagong Hill Tract Webelos:

It's obviously a close relative of the giraffe, only evolution has gifted it with a non-working thyroid.
