And the customer actually crossed off the 18% that was automatically added by the restaurant's POS system. So instead of getting a $6.29 tip on a $34.93 bill the waiter got nothing. Not tipping extra would be fine but tipping nothing is dickish.
It doesn't work like that though. He's still going to be charged the correct amount with the right tip. Him writing on the receipt does nothing. The waiter would have to void the ticket and re ring it with zero tip for him to get away with not tipping.
If that's the case then I guess there's really no issue. But just the fact that they tried to tip nothing is kind of ridiculous.

It's just a brewing method where water is poured over grounds and "drips" into a container below. Could refer to any type of coffee, I suppose.

Lol pretty sure it's by far the most common way to brew coffee. Probably every single coffee shop or convenience store in the world has drip coffee.

I think the OMG it's drip refers to not using a traditional coffee maker.
The La Colombe guy talks about it on Twitter a lot.

Damn, when I used to live in Flemington, we would go to John & Peters all the time. A few friends of mine still play gigs there regularly. I didn't know her, but all of the staff there was great, hope she's found safe.
