Resilience. It's a great word, but I guarantee I will soon want to panel people for using it ALL THE FUCKING TIME, just like legacy. I'm writing a funding application right now, and the fucking thing reeks resilience.

I hate it when cool words become words de jour. fucking shite.

Legacy, mind, that was always a poxy little word. Reeks of largesse, ego and careful contemplation of how-far-up-your-own-arsehole-you'll-be-able-to-crawl-in-the-future-whilst-patting-yourself-on-the-back.

Really think lance armstrong should go into acting. All the pics now totally nail remorse whilst retaining the trademark resolution and determination. Guy has tons of range for such a stony face.

is it wrong to get grumpy about the presence of the phrase 'corporate objectives' in an arts funding application to a government body? how the fuck can ye guys have corporate objectives when you're not a FUCKING CORPORATION.

We'll leave aside the whole grimy business of why you'd want to emulate corporate objectives when they are by definition the aims of large businesses, organisations by definition not devoted to the same aims as national government body dedicated to investing in the arts.

Fucking poxy idiocy.

how about for in-person credit card purchases, you can sign up for a system whereby the credit card company knows your whereabouts courtesy of your smartphone, and if a transaction is attempted where you're not known to be, it gets declined??

Of course, wouldn't help for online fraud, and many will decline due to 'big brother' fears, but....

Two advantages to being sick:

1. Only spent 9 bucks on beer this weekend.
2. Got plenty of sleep.
