It actually makes sense, the barksdale gang is laying low after a bunch of the key members get popped and do time in jail, and it still follows them, so then you have what fills in the void from the big time gang going down. It's all cyclical, which is how it is in real life which makes it more gripping, to me.

The War on Drugs is often framed as a inner city black thing, facilitated by South American's far away. There were a lot of worthy things about season 2, but I was impressed they so effectively told a story about the mechanics of the drug trade that never gets told. Also it's a show about Baltimore. It'd be a shame to ignore such a large contingent of Baltimore and pretend it's all cops, politicians, robbers and drugs.

I watched the pilot of The Wire and nearly fell asleep. I should probably give it another shot.

I feel like death. Road trip with the boss with an "noncontagious" cough. Welp, it was contagious, and I'm sick and miserable.

Friend of mine asked my size at JCrew and said shes been doing a lot of shopping for gifts. I don't have confirmation that she got me anything, but I need to have a gift in reserve, right?
