Is anyone else saddened but not shocked? I see a lot people saying variations of "I cannot imagine" but at this point I've come to expect these types of tragedies.

or no rifles at all which some of the spokespersons for one or more of the law enforcement agencies are saying or not saying so yeah

The kids that weren't killed are probably going to have problems for the rest of their lives

yes. that's, to me, just as sad as this event. that it's almost to be expected.

Looks like this lunatic had targeted his parents. His mother is a teacher at the school.

Well, yes, shocked. Perhaps as more details emerged I'll be less so, but at this time I can't think of a comparable incident. Yes, there have been many other lethal school attacks, but in virtually all there has been a twisted logic one could follow in the mind of the killer where they were attacking peers or authority figures where they felt they were wreaking vengeance or at least appearing powerful in their eyes. The movie theater attack is the only thing that comes close, but there it was a random group of people apparently chosen simply because they would provide easy targets.

The events that set this off may be able to be comprehended. But to shoot so many children, children who apparently were no part of this man's life. Yes, that is shocking.

I agree with this. Killing nearly two dozen 8, 9, 10 year olds is shocking to me. The definition of innocent in every sense.

it was his mom's kindergarten class so not even 8,9,10 yr olds
