Andrew Kaczynski ‏@BuzzFeedAndrew
Per Pew, in 2004 Bush got 80% of the Mormon vote, but Romney only got 78% this year.

I think Boehner is making a big mistake, saying a deal can be done on immigration but the President has to take the lead.

http://news.yahoo.com/boehner-says-obam ... ction.html

If I were Boehner, I would be drafting immigration reform right now and use my power to get most House Rs to go along with it. Immigration reform is inevitable anyway, so why not take credit for something (in addition to shaping legislation in such a way that your pro-business wing wants) that's going to happen.

Instead, he's willing to let the Dems be the party of immigration reform. Obama is going to propose something, all the Dems will go along with it and I imagine it will be pretty easy to get enough Rs on board to pass it but Obama is going to get all the credit. Therefore, I'm guessing the most of the Republican House Caucus really is in no mood to get pragmatic on this (or any other) issue.

kill it with fire.

LOL

"So apparently my post last night about Obama got onto Twitter and Fox 40 came and interviewed me cause apparently a lot of people in Sacramento think I'm crazy and racist. WOW is all I got to say!! I'm not racist and I'm not crazy. just simply stating my opinion.!!!"

Maybe it's b/c of

"And another 4 years of the (n-----). Maybe he will get assassinated this term..!!"

But my favorite part of the article:
She is not listed as a registered voter in the state registry database.

The number of posters here who would be hinting or openly claiming the election was stolen if Romney won is a number greater than zero. Electronic voting or some other boogeyman would be the culprit.

There would be long rants about money buying elections. Romney would be illegitimate because he lied his way to the White House. Etc.

Some people handle getting beaten better than others.

well, the man with the most votes in florida lost in 2000, so there is precedent. purposeful ways that republican-held states attempted to suppress the vote were/are a concern. money does buy elections.

I believe you're on to something. My use of "plug-ugly" was inaccurate b/c she's obviously not homely; it's more, as you've noted, what she's lost & what has replaced it

Legend should say counties in which each candidate received most votes where they won.

Let's really be petty and mean here. She was pretty. Pretty enough and blond enough that through high school no one expected much from her in the way of class room effort. Even in the first few years of college (local state U) perhaps she flirted her way to a 2.5 gpa without much effort. But she started to get a little chubby. Let herself go a bit. That 2.5 turned to a 2.0. Not great, but enough to graduate. But her marketing major turned out not be all that marketable. She didn't have the looks to get into pharmaceutical sales, nor really any experience to get anything. Worse than all that, she doesn't have much personality. Never really needed it before. So now she's working at a job where you've got to wear a visor and a name tag. And in this case and apron. It's obviously beneath, and she needs some explanation as to how all this happened--it wasn't supposed, she was one of the pretty ones! It must be because of the dirty brown people and their affirmative action!

It's a cartogram with the states scaled based on EVs. And the colors are based on % vote at the county level (not just red and blue).

Hard to believe they were able to keep that from leaking before election
