It's a cartogram with the states scaled based on EVs. And the colors are based on % vote at the county level (not just red and blue).

I thought it was in honor of the states that legalize it.

Apparently the CIA has no tolerance for such things, hence the immediate step down.

Which makes me wonder how David Estes has held on so long.

FFS. He was a good leader, but if you have a point of compromise, then you are done in this business. How fuck-ing stupid

You cannot be compromised or the point is lost. Seriously, if you can be blackmailed how can you operate in the security system. Ben Franklin said that "three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead." There is truth in that statement. So if you have a mistress, you are on the road to compromise.

I believe you're on to something. My use of "plug-ugly" was inaccurate b/c she's obviously not homely; it's more, as you've noted, what she's lost & what has replaced it

Let's really be petty and mean here. She was pretty. Pretty enough and blond enough that through high school no one expected much from her in the way of class room effort. Even in the first few years of college (local state U) perhaps she flirted her way to a 2.5 gpa without much effort. But she started to get a little chubby. Let herself go a bit. That 2.5 turned to a 2.0. Not great, but enough to graduate. But her marketing major turned out not be all that marketable. She didn't have the looks to get into pharmaceutical sales, nor really any experience to get anything. Worse than all that, she doesn't have much personality. Never really needed it before. So now she's working at a job where you've got to wear a visor and a name tag. And in this case and apron. It's obviously beneath, and she needs some explanation as to how all this happened--it wasn't supposed, she was one of the pretty ones! It must be because of the dirty brown people and their affirmative action!

I was going to say that she probably dated a black guy and is now angry after a bitter breakup. I mean, chunky blonde white girl--right in black men's wheelhouse, amirite?

Probably wouldn't have posted this if AR didn't look less bad than you'd expect.

it's interesting, but of the republicans still posting about obama/romney and the 'im paying for you' and 'welfare this and this' stuff on FB, i make more money than all of them. the republicans i know on FB who make more than me aren't putting up any of those posts. just anecdotal goodness.

Watch the first few sentences Dan Rather speaks in this video. My mind was blown that they would write that simile, or that he would say it.

Petraeus had an affair with his biographer? Oh my.

It had long been rumored that something was going on between Petraeus and Broadwell. Her book, co-written with Vernon Loeb, is widely regarded as a valentine to the general. When she was embedded with him in Afghanistan, they went on frequent 5-mile runs together. But Petraeus went on 5-mile runs with many reporters, and few people who knew him took the rumors seriously. In his personal life, he’s always been seen as a straight shooter, a square. Few could have imagined that his end would come as the result of a morals scandal.

her name's broadwell

it's like a cartoon or something

she's a fine specimen of a gal, but who in their right mind goes on tv wearing the getup she wore on Stewart's show?
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)
