anybody happen to have a Samsung Galaxy Player? Basically the android equivalent of an iPod touch. It has GPS, so there's no reason that my bike ride tracking app (SportyPal) shouldn't work on it, but I'd hate to drop 130 bucks and then find out it doesn't...
Wow, that IS a coincidence! Are you a Sporty Pal? doesn't seem to be big in the US, but I like it better than the others.
Dude, you're right, there's no reason it shouldn't work. But going through the SP forums, you see that some specific devices for some reason or other have problems with SP on certain OS versions. Probably a 95% chance it will work, but don't want to find out the expensive way that it doesn't.
This rain may make it a "mute" point anyway. I should be up and running on a smartphone one way or the other by the end of the week. Long stories, won't bore you all
No, not a Sporty Pal. I just did a google re: your question and when I saw your name there I figured I was wasting my time as you had already done that.
they were a chick hanging out with her friends at a bar, the Phillies would be the 320 lb chick with a nose wart and a dick - Trent Steele
The only reason I would see that something like that wouldn't work, would be if you need internet for maps etc. If the GPS is real GPS (not triangulate your position via cell tower GPS) and it doesn't need internet access to load maps to plot your location then you should be fine.
Right. When my phone died I did one run in Brigantine with my 9.5" tablet in my bike basket just to see if it would work. It worked just fine. But apparently SP is sometimes picky with hardware or OS or the combination of the two. And once I get my Galaxy S3, the player would be redundant anyway.
my piece of shit mayor won't give my union a contract. on an unrelated note i had to work today. on a related note there's a mural some folks started working on this past Thursday and today one of the bosses decided there should be a ceremony even though it is not even close to looking like a mural is even being painted yet, and as a result my coworkers and I weren't allowed to park in my building's 75% empty parking lot hours after this ceremony was over. then the idiot last-out bosses wouldn't let anybody go home early. good riddance, Labor Day
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America
Best or worst class absence excuse ever: "I have to go back to my dorm because I broke my shoe." Hey, it's Arkansas--people don't even wear shoes to church half the time.
