Believe me, the idea has been tossed around. But it's being tossed around in just about every small town with even a modicum of support for the arts.

I see there's a British soccer team called West Ham.

Spent yesterday afternoon through this morning at my wife's aunt's house on Long Island Sound in Connecticut. This place is ridiculous:

10,000 square feet and some 27 rooms, not counting the basement where Buffalo Bill could die happy.
10 bedrooms (all but four have their own bathrooms: of those four, two have an adjoining bath, the other two are in the SERVANT'S QUARTERS so they also share a bath); the second-largest has floor-to-ceiling mirrors and a goddamn ballet bar.
Master bath about 600 square feet by itself, with a shower big enough for an intimate party, plus a whirlpool tub that could accomodate 10+ comfortably.
1.5 baths besides those attached to bedrooms, one including another hot tub.
A "music room", big enough for formal balls, with a built-in for-god's-sake PIPE ORGAN.
A formal dining room that could seat 30 easily.
A wet bar room and another room, done in 100% hand-carved wood, floor to ceiling. Astonishingly detailed inlays.
The kitchen is huge, but the weak point of the whole place. Very antiquated appliances, and poor layout for efficient cooking. I'm guessing if whoever lived here previously had large parties, they must have had them catered.
No pool (WTF?) and no A/C (WTF!?!?!?).

My wife's aunt (or uncle, mainly, since he's the breadwinner) got this all for a song, apparently - it was selling for far, far below original asking price because it was way too big for the neighborhood, and it was in need of some repairs. So they've been pouring money into it ever since.
