my gf is the ultimate "I only smoke when I drink" person, but I still hate it. Her breath is like sour milk after she sucks down a few of those nasty cancer sticks.

There's one ingredient for success that few really acknowledge--an almost delusional sense of optimism. The problem is, that's also an ingredient for spectacular failure. The difference is successful people have a knack for self-promotion that gets others to share their delusion.

It's not all about money--Mrs. Vulture is that way to an extent. We live in a pretty redneck town of about 11,000 (though there is a university here which makes a difference). There's an empty building on our town square. Mrs. Vulture gets it in her head that the building would make a good arts center. It had a leaky roof, in adequate HVAC, and lots of other problems. Two years later, there's an arts center there. She put in a ton of work, but she also got a lot of other people to put in work and got other people to write some pretty fat checks. The art center has been open about a year, and it's already considered an important community asset.

there are probably some pretty funny jokes to be made regarding an arts center in Arkansas but seriously, that is quite an accomplishment and Mrs. vulture deserves many kudos and accolades.

It's pretty disgraceful that Harvard students have to take a hard course. They all should be easy so they get good grades and get good jobs and stuff. After all, they are our future.
