Agreed. They're a decent number that I'd like to try. Interested in your reviews of the places you've tried.

Lemon Hill: I REALLY liked this place and could see it being part of my regular had I lived there. It's the gastropub sort of food but with an upscale drink program. They may sacrifice a little effort on beer - but not alot - but I'm okay with that given my preference for wine and mixed drinks. Everything I ate there was great.

Calaca Feliz: I really liked this place as well. Sous chef from Distrito doing Mexican things better than Distrito (and also a touch less of the Tapas style). Ate at the bar, really enjoyed it but would love to eat in their outside area.

McCrossens Tavern: Solid. I liked it a little less than Lemon Hill. This is definitely worth visiting but not before the other two and you might say afterwards that there are 3 or 4 gastros in the city just like it. So maybe it's not a destination place. It makes it sound like I didn't like it, but that's not true at all. Everything good.

Rybread: Had it for lunch with the kids after visiting a museum. If you are in the area for lunch, go there. But it's not a date night or a special trip into the city.

I feel like I'm blanking on one other place I recently went there or at least really want to try but it escapes me.

wish Calaca Feliz would start serving some lunch (preferably quasi-affordable)
