i just don't like the old city area. even the bars that aren't dbag bars aren't really, with a couple exceptions. there's a ton around grad hospital, and you are close to great art museum area bars and restaurants too. i think the wash square area is kind of sterile. i lived at 4th and lombard, and there were a lot of old people around there

Neighbor rang the door bell and showed me this huge ass hornets nest in the tree out front. I guess the rain caused it to sag and become visible. Thank jeebus I didnt hit that when mowing.

Thoughts? Location seems pretty sweet. Mile walk to old city. Price includes a parking spot and a large onsite gym. A little more rent than I'd like, but with the parking spot and gym included, its close to my max (was hoping to max out around 1600). I assume I could probably get them down to 1700 maybe even 1650.

I was about to jump in and argue with the people who didn't like the location because, you're right, it is easy walking distance to a lot of things. Then I looked at the street view on google maps and, lord, that is the most depressing streetscape I've ever seen. I definitely like a little street life and Graduate Hospital, Wash West or even Fairmount have a ton more than that. This looks like where I'd go to get to get an early start on getting mugged.

Happy I asked. I really haven't spent much time in the Grad Hospital area. Starting to think I should be considering it.
