fucking sucks living with neighbors like that. I would make a call to the cops, let them know they don't have to come out, but explain the situation. Then this week try talking to a couple other neighbors and see if they've had similar experiences

went to the reception, drank 3 glasses of wine in quick fashion, feel a little buzzed because I'm currently a lightweight.

The key to going to something like this and not having to be social is to look like you're always going somewhere. I got my wine and then walked around with a smile on my face, nodding occasionally at people I recognized. Didn't talk to anyone until I left the reception area and then I ran into a guy I met on the shuttle from michigan. He's having a party in his room tomorrow with some other people from his school and invited me. I think I'll go to that. Small non-professional gathering is more of my scene. Hope it's not a gay sex thing. Not into that.

don't call the cops. just park in that spot every single day until you move next year. in fact, buy an 87 taurus, park it there and let it sit.

if you don't want to call the cops, calling your lawyer is another option. and if you don't want to go that route, at the very least document it. write it down in some form everything that happened and how she threatened you. and start documenting every other incident that she/her family/friends commit like you mentioned outside. and if needed, see if any other neighbors heard/saw anything to collaborate. liars generally don't keep copious and meticulous notes on events and circumstances because lying itself is easier and lazier.

I was considering not reporting something a few weeks back, but then I had to once I saw it twice. So if it happens again I would say definitely go for it. What happened to me was two cars crossed paths on our street and stopped in front of our house. I saw a bag transfer (probably drugs?) and then it happened three days later, so I called.

There are ways to approach this, but from what you've given me, write it down and if it happens again please call.

i've called the cops once on a neighbor. i was at my fiance's place in the last month of her lease. she lived in an old house type apartment that was split. 2 upstairs single bedroom apts and a 3 bedroom downstairs. the downstairs was filled with a single mom of 4 kids who got some type of reduced rent from the state to live there. quite often on saturday nights, she'd come home at like 3AM with her radio blaring. not subwoofer or base, like the radio in the car turned all the way up that i could hear every single lyric. normally, she'd stop the car and go inside. it'd wake us up, but the last thing i wanted was my fiance having neighbors that didn't like her. i didn't live there full time at that point.

anyway, this one night the said neighbor gets home at 3AM and the music stays on in her car. she's SCREAMING into her phone. audible over the music. 5 min pass. 10 min pass. 15 min pass. it's like 3:30AM and we finally called the police to report the issue. she rang the upstairs doorbell from like 3:45AM to 4:00AM. we just ignored it. she moved out like 72 hours after this.

never once had a problem with the guys that lived next to my wife who were very likely drug dealers. didn't figure it out until again late in her lease. she's was really fortunate all things considered.
