On non-leap years (until 2039), this day marks the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere and the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere, and is the day of the year with the most hours of daylight in the northern hemisphere and the least hours of daylight in the southern hemisphere.

Anyone have any clue what happens in 2039?

I'm going on my third year in Graduate Hospital and I freaking live it. But if I could upgrade, Washington Square would be the place.

Cool. What kind of price range seems reasonable in Philly these days? I've kind of lost perspective on rent in the area.

Varies by area, but as far as 2BRs go anything below 1200 + utilities for a nice place in a decent neighborhood is a good deal. If it's higher than that I'd expect it to be in a good neighborhood or be a really nice apartment. For 1BR and studios I'm not as well-studied, but I'd expect a nice place to be at least 700-800. My friend has a good sized 1BR with a basement and a small back patio area near Passyunk Square and she pays over 900 I think.

Wow. Just going off craigslist, it looks like a 1 bedroom in Washington would be in the 1400+ area. Not sure how reliable CL is for Philly though

most people I know use craigslist. I don't really know of another way unless you have an in with someone who can check listings across a bunch of different realtors. I've made good use of PadMapper.com in the past. It searches across CL and some other apartment listing sites. You can set a minimum and maximum rent and number of bedrooms, but unlike Craigslist you can search within a certain map area. Sometimes the individual listings can be off because of how the addresses are listed in the ads, but it's a nice way of weeding through hundreds of ads a day.

I've used http://www.apartments.com/ in the past. It's all realtor repped properties I think, but it let's you search by lots of differnt parameters.
