Your words that an engagement announcement of a same sex couple is "not consistent with prevailing community standards" is certainly not my view - and it's frankly embarassing to be lumped into a group that believes that. How about you say the following:

We, the editors and management of Lancaster Newspapers, being bigoted, ignorant, backwards, and close minded, chose to represent this same group of bigoted, ignorant, backwards close minded Lancaster County residents and not print this engagment announcement. To the rest of you non-bigoted, non-ignorant, open minded Lancastarians, tough crap - we own the news in Lancaster and decide what to print!
