Did the article change?

Lancaster Newspapers Inc. has reversed policy and will run engagement announcements of same-sex couples, the company president said

So they didn't and now they will. Why is everyone so pissed? PROGRESS

No, the article didn't change. Have you ever been to Lancaster? Haha

I hate everything. Outside of food, there's no reason to still have pride in any ethnicity.

Pac, why not? My dad's grandparents came over from Ireland. I don't drive around with an Irish flag flying off my car or anything, but there are little customs and traditions that I grew up with, music we listened to etc. that I share with my kids, what is wrong with that? My wife's parents both were born and raised in Europe, (Poland and Slovakia) and moved here as 18 year olds, my wife has tons of traditions that her parents brought and instilled in her and she is passing a lot of that on to our kids. So what? We are Americans through and through, but that Polish, Slovak, Irish mixture that my kids are getting is one of the things that makes America so fucking awesome it's the ultimate melting pot of culture and religion. What is inherently "American", if you think we should all abandon the culture that our family had to take up the native culture, then shouldn't we be raised learning Native American customs?

I saw a guy in NYC walking down the street in a Phillies hat. He's super happy to be a Philadelphia Phillies fan, but he's walking around NYC? Not buying it.

yeah, our culture is that we are every culture and embrace each others, not wall ourselves up and wrap ourselves up in stupid old country traditions simply because of false bloodlines (people consider themselves this or that when they are like 25% this and 13% that, etc).

it's my opinion, so whatever. i'm obviously the only one.

i was mostly busting your balls about being racist

but i don't have a problem that are like 50/50 something celebrating both things or being 100%. Don't see any problem celebrating your culture or being proud of it. it's not like they're starting an invasion of amercia.

i do agree with the people that are like 10 different things acting like they were born in a pub in Dublin. Those are the ones that annoy me

yeah, i can understand that. i'm mostly upset about the select few that seem MORE proud of their ethnicity than our and their country. that's all.

You really can't be proud about being Irish, Italian, or Equatorial Guinean. You had no choice in the matter.

I literally have never ever heard of someone being mad about other people being proud about where they are from or what their ethnicity is. There are very bad economies in Puerto Rico and the Philippines. It makes ample sense that you'd want to go somewhere where you could earn a comfortable living for yourself and your family. This in no way precludes you of being proud of what made you the individual you are.

Maybe this is why Pac hates me, because I still have relatives living in the town my family is from and I love them

I made it to Notre Dame. They still have that racist mascot. Got a ticket in PA. Thanks for the concern everyone!
