It wasn't even really an argument. He took offense to something I said for whatever reason and started slinging insults without explaining his position. His last post was asking whether I wanted him to explain himself to me via PM or on the board, and I said on the board since the rest of the crap had been aired in public, and he hasn't posted since.

I don't want him to leave. I always thought he was a great poster, and he was nothing but nice to me until that last dust up. Hopefully he'll come back sooner rather than later.

It was kind of a weird thing though, tbh.

I agree, it was a really weird thing, and seemed out of character for what I know of him (as an internet person). Didn't think you were overly antagonistic, and his reaction seemed really overblown for what a silly disagreement it was, you jerk.

I think I got into a heated music piracy argument with him a few years ago and I felt bad afterward because he blamed his exit from that industry on piracy (which I disagreed with anyway). So in that sense it wasn't the first time he'd taken something personally in an argument here. Based on how angry he seemed in the more recent spat, maybe there was another personal issue he wasn't comfortable in getting into.

My neighbor maintains a beautiful garden. Kind of thought the sight of me walking along the sidewalk would stop the woman who was clearly contemplating grabbing one of the flowers from doing so. Didn't. I was so surprised I actually said something to her.

Rationalization: "But they smell so sweet!"

I tend to be knee-jerk negative about new venues/restaurants, but Morgan's Pier sounds pretty damn sweet
