Well, sales taxes are high. And the school--you know, I've been reasonably satisfied with it. It is really diverse. I'm enough of a liberal to believe that has real value. The white flight/Christian school is worse from an academic perspective.

i have not taken a nap in over a year. going from swing shifts to a regular schedule has done wonders for me being able to deal with being tired.

I don't take naps unless I'm sick. Waking up at 7 for work. West coast trips suck this year

I nap like 2-3 times a week. It's one of the best things about being a grad student with few real responsibilities. Naps are great.

When I was working swing shifts and when i was in college, naps were key, but I work 8-4 or 9-5 and then work out or jog after work, which takes me up to 6 or 7 pm. Kind of useless to nap at that point. If I'm skipping exercising it's to watch sports or meet people, so I really have no opportunity to nap.

In grad school, I worked and went to class during the day til 5, came home and napped for a couple hours, then went back to the school til midnight. I loved it. The naps were the key. Don't think I've taken a nap since.

Whenever I'd be on my night shifts of my swing shifts, I'd come home, watch TV or whatever until 11 or noon(got off at 8 am) then sleep for 4-5 hours, work out, get some stuff done, then take a 2-3 hour nap before work at midnight. It worked really well. I do miss naps a bit, but my schedule right now just doesn't work for them. Guy I work with works 5-1, then naps when he gets home until 4 and then gets like 3 hours of sleep at night. He's constantly tired at work. Those naps ain't working for him, clearly.

I'm doubting the accuracy, because out of the people I'm friends with in the neighborhood, 2 were born in England, 1 in India, and 1 in Canada. That report has 50% Ireland and 50% China.
