Nice! I started and never finished a Python course on lynda.com a few months back. Might have to give it a go again.

I really like it so far. Final project for this semester is building a wheel of fortune game...I put together the module that simulates spinning the wheel.

Also, my ex-wife's maid of honor works for lynda.com

I think the difference with MIT is that they're just offering videos and course material for free. With these Penn courses it sounds like there will be real interaction between students and the professor. Princeton, Stanford, and Michigan are doing it like Penn, too.

Here's a philly.com article from this morning.

my roommate hates his IT job. when he quits you can have his position. he does mostly server stuff. once they're done training him to be a network admin he's going to look for a new job.

I hate that feeling of coming to the BSG main page and seeing there's a new ftn post and then realizing it's in the soccer thread

Ace's post about third base prompted me to search for "fingerbang" in an effort to find the south park clip. Along the way I looked at the Wikipedia entry for fingering. Was not expecting visual aids.

I basically try to use as much plastic as possible for rewards benefits and speed of transactions and easier record keeping, but I still end up a fair number of cash transactions.

8 transactions in April so far, 16 transactions in March, 5 in February, 9 in January, 17 in December, 22 in November, 22 in October, 9 in September. . .
