i live in a poor zip code. live right near one of the two projects in the city here. great area though, i love it. it's weird, the 2nd richest zip code in the county is right next to ours.

it's weird. i used to live in the most diverse neighborhood in reading where it was 40% white, 40% latino, 15 black% 5% asian. it was the 3rd 'richest' hood in the city, which was still below the state and county averages. the top two were the most segregated for whites. the two poorest are the most segregated for latinos. berks is the second most segregated metro in the nation for latinos, but you wouldnt think it by my current block since it's crazy diverse.

what we see only brings us so far, you know?

my area is weird. where i live is a poor area, but they use WA-900 as the divider between zips here and everything south of it and just north is pretty janky(where i live), but a few block north of 900 and it's really nice. i'm not fond of where i live, though, so i hope i won't be in this part of the area long. really trying to move into the city or at least somewhere with a better bar scene soon.

i'm not really sure if rich people do live in the city. i get the impression that most of the richer people live on mercer island or bellevue.

After Mexico, the common homeland of someone foreign born living here is France.

Mexico (36%)
France (16%)
Other Eastern Africa (9%)
Other Eastern Europe (7%)
Iran (7%)
Colombia (6%)
United Kingdom (5%)

Probably has something to do with a French company having production facilities here.
