So I'm looking for jobs in Philly and it seems most are out West towards Conshohocken. Does that match your perception? Cause that drive is pretty much a non-starter.

It's a great idea if our financial overlords didn't rig the system, then bankrupt all our municipalalities and blame them for it

was it ever realistic for our cities and large companies to pay all their former employees into perpetuity?

Honestly, that drive isn't that bad. There are a lot of alternative routes home to the city that go through some gorgeous areas if you get sick of 76

FWIW there are two regional rail stops in Conshohocken, both close to the newish office buildings along the river. Would make living around Center City and working in Conshohocken much more palatable, IMHO.

it was doable for years. Still is if a couple easy fixes to this financial gambling are done.

Uh, no. No it's not pacino. You know not what you speak. Unless by easy fix you mean you agree that you state workers who aren't doing manual labor agree to work until you're 75 or 80. Then we can talk about a pension.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing, just wasn't sure if it was worth the time/effort for what I'd get for them. I recently donated a bunch of books to goodwill, but I still have a couple of brown paper shopping bags full of Stephen King paperbacks, first editions of all John Grishams novels, up to the bleachers, and paperbacks of almost all of Michael Crichton's books. Thought I might be able to get something for those.

Most of them were listed for 1 cent. My only hope is to recoup a little from the shipping credit. I'm going to give it a month and see what happens.

I'm sure this must make sense for you or you wouldn't do it, but at work we list tons of books on amazon and they don't reimburse anywhere close to actual shipping costs when you add in materials and labor. Only reason we're on there is to look for new "real" customers who might buy direct. Just had to bump up out cheapest books a bunch of dollars and offer "free" shipping so we weren't taking a loss.

I haven't thought it all out, but I've been saving shipping materials whenever possible. Really just an experiment.
