Yes, because this is so much different from 2008, when Obama swept through the primaries, or 2004, or 2000....

Roman Catholic, which has been one of Romney's best demographic groups so far in this primary calendar.

How were 04 or 00 anything like this? There were 11 states total in the 3 primaries won by people other than Bush Gore or Kerry (And about half of those were McCain in New England). Romney has already lost 12.

Yeah it's a little bit like 08. Then again Obama had the luxury of not going up against a sitting president.

Willard sweeps American Samoa. Beats Santorum by 9 in delegates there...Ranger beat Mitt by 1 delegate in Mississippi.

Holy shit, werthless. One is deliberate lying to try to make a huge chunk of the populace mistrust the POTUS based on some religious hysteria and the other is trying to measure the effect of that lying. With that logic, you would blame the victim who complains about being robbed, I guess.

We saw how well it worked when Kerry just ignored the attacks on his military record.

and the person he was running against in the primary was actually well-funded, pretty centrist, and not a lunatic.

Jonathan Karl ‏ @jonkarl
And who won yeaterday's delegate race? Thanks to American Samoa and Hawaii, it is Romney. ABC est: Romney 41, Santorum 35, Gingrich 24

I don't think that's quite right as there are 10 more delegates up for grabs from yesterday still in Alabama to be sorted out as the congressional district votes get counted. But even if he didn't win delegates on the night over Santorum, it'll end up being a swing of a coupe delegates at worst.

Dear Mitt,

Things are a little desperate when you start talking about the MATH being on your side. Delegate count sounds cocky when there are still delegates to capture and talking about the popular vote is just talking out of your ass.

Thanks, Us.

Mitt will win the nomination. And he will almost certainly carry the states he lost in the primary in the general election.

The question is whether Romney wins the nomination if he doesnt get to 1144 by Tampa, which is certainly possible. Given that he had enormous money and endorsement advantages and still can't put the bozos away--and that he doesn't exactly wear well--I'm not sure who gives way for him.

When you watch a sporting event do you like to know what the score is and whether there's enough time left for the losing team to realistically come back?
