Mitt: At least I'm better than Newt.

Talk about setting the bar low.

I wonder: Who has cost more Americans jobs, Newt as a politician or Mitt as a hatchetman for Bain?

Summary of Werthless' article: No, really, Mitt is human. Don't laugh, he really is.

$231 billion deficit in February was the largest single month deficit ever.

Hah, it's a great line though

"If I'm a weak frontrunner, what does that make Newt Gingrich? Because I'm well ahead of him."

-- Mitt Romney, quoted by Politico, responding to Newt Gingrich's characterization of his campaign.

Quote of the Week in the Washington Post was Mitt saying that he is not a politician. Then he realized what he said, but tries to hammer out the point that he is an outsider to the process, just a conservative businessman. Mitt needs some lessons on how to relate to most of humanity.

Its all how you play with the numbers.

The Treasury Department said Monday that the deficit grew by $232 billion in February. That increased the imbalance through the first five months of the budget year to $581 billion, or 9 percent less than the same period in fiscal 2011.

The government last recorded a surplus in 2001. The deficits grew again after President George W. Bush won approval for broad tax cuts, pushed a major drug benefit program for seniors and launched the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The imbalance grew even further during President Barack Obama’s administration. Tax revenues plummeted ... unemployment soared and corporate profits fell. The Obama administration also stepped up spending.

CBO estimates that if Congress extends the tax cuts, as they have in the past, and if they block the spending cuts, the deficit will remain near $900 billion or higher for the next 10 years.

I mean, February had an extra day this year. Otherwise there isn't too much playing with the numbers in stating it was the largest single month deficit ever.

It may not be playing with numbers but it's not really playing with a full deck, either

-There's considerable skepticism about Barack Obama's religion with Republican voters in them. In Mississippi only 12% of voters think Obama's a Christian to 52% who think he's a Muslim and 36% who are not sure. In Alabama just 14% think Obama's a Christian to 45% who think he's a Muslim and 41% who aren't sure.

to be fair, a sizable portion of the poll respondents also "aren't sure" if the war for southern independence is officially over

Isn't that the breakdown for people in the south who think Mitt's full name is mittens, didn't realize yet that Mitt is a Mormon conflicting their vote, and the remaining percentage are waiting for the real GOP candidate?

Regarding that War of Northern Aggression, the percentage is much higher that think it is still going on. Those are the folks who have no idea what the Confederate Flag actually looks like when they fly the Confederate Battle Flag as "their heritage". Then again, they have no idea why the stars and bars might be offensive to anyone because they are just chuckle heads. I especially like when someone flying the battle flag is confronted with the original confederacy flag and they have no idea what it is.
