Also worth noting: tomorrow is not only Super Tuesday, but the day of the big primary between Dennis Kucinich and Marcy Kaptur.

We might be losing Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul in the same year.

I had a giant Berry for DC City Council sign that hung behind my dart board the first few years after I moved here. It was his coming out, his big return from the pen and his first victory as a marginally rehabilitated citizen. Had to be a 4'x5' at least. My room mate picked it up off of route 66 going into the district fro VA. Good times.

Nostalgia aside, how can the district not be just generally ashamed of itself? Between Berry's persistence and continuance, and its general disposition as monkey in the middle for political experimentation that it is impotent to defend itself from as Congress tells it how to behave pushing down every and any experimental policy the majority party see fit to implement. One argument is that the nation pays the freight for DC's existence the flip side is that all those Government building exist tax free. Trade Berry for self rule, that might just be desirable enough for emancipation.

Forget our politics, what happens in Russia after dark tonight? "Russia's opposition is gearing up for a mass rally in downtown Moscow Monday night, which its leaders expect to be the largest so far, a day after Vladimir Putin returned to the presidency amid widespread reports of voting irregularities." Does it get ugly? Is it a Soviet Spring? Will the ex-GRU/KGB Thug now president part X Putin put them down?

why should i care what aipac has to say? the president's speech was decent. this weird thing that we're somehow at risk of a war with iran is crazy. the only way we have a war is if we start it. if israel does their version of a pre-emptive attack, i feel no reason to back them in their stupid endeavor.

After all the things that Rush has said over the years, why is this thing finally getting the attention of advertisers?

You should care what they have to say because they have more influence on American foreign policy than you do.

Getting into war with Iran would pretty much ruin the economy. Even without the flow of oil being disrupted the mere threat puts us at above $5 a gallon in a short time. Say bye bye to a significant portion of the small businesses in the country if that happens.

This, plus the high likelihood of new terror attacks, an extreme security (or "security") clampdown in response, the loss of whatever goodwill Obama has managed to generate in the world, and--when "the Jews" (as opposed to a small group of multidenominational religious nuts) are blamed for all this--an unprecedented wave of anti-semitism in America.

It's a really, really bad idea even if it works on its own terms, which is no sure thing.

Because after this latest vile display, enough people banded together to effectively do something about it.

Bout damn time, too.

At first I had the same thigh-slapping reaction as the legions of responders to this article.

Upon further review, however, this doesn't hold up, and we must recognize this article for what it is: An opportunist, almost propagandic, divisive article intended to incite class warfare.

Anyone who doesn't make as much money as they thought they were going to is likely to complain. That goes for Warren Buffet and Bill Gates all the way down to Jim the Janitor. Ask enough "1 percenters" about their situations, and you'll find enough absurd examples to write this article. I didn't see anywhere where the people interviewed demanded less taxation on them and more on the 99%, or assertions that their plight is worse than anyone else's. Nor did they contact the writer to complain. The writer had to actively seek out these people and portray their situations and complaints in the worse light possible. Can some of these people be narcissistic and lack self awareness? Sure, it's possible. But that's not really the point.

The end result is a writer who decided to make a name for himself by highlighting absurdities to become a "champion of the 99%" and further drive the wedge of class division.

I'm sure this article has been written many times featuring welfare recipients complaining that what they get for free isn't enough in an attempt to elicit scorn from the taxpayers who support them.

Both types of article are nothing but vile.
