It was pissing me off so I took out the battery. Just put in a new battery and the carbon monoxide thing started wailing after I hit test. I took out the battery and put it back in, and now it's not wailing after the test. I don't think my apartment is full of carbon monoxide, but if I die, tell my folks I love them and I'm sorry I was too lazy to do more to check.
