get one of those external/USB drive enclosures ASAP and pull the hard drive and copy the data off of it before it rusts. or something like that.

target had a laptop on sale last week for $233. Could get you by for the time being.

Pretty hyped to go home and relax tonight though, weekend was so cray. Spank Rock was fucking awesome and it only cost two bucks. I have a ton of leftover booze from the Wet Bandits shots. Vodka tonics and Hulkfist

What the hell is with Thai restaurants the charge extra for rice? I feel like this is a West Coast thing. You know I'm getting rice with my curry, just build it in to the damn price.

Fuck that noise. Kinda similar to my grade school experiences, where we were forced to sell cookies or some shit every year. My parents ended up just buying all of it every year.

Have not run into this problem yet in Seattle, but I've only been to 2 Thai places.

I've had it happen at every place I've gone to here. My work orders from a few different places and they all charge extra. Just tried the place down the street and they do the same. A 9.95 order turned in to 15 with a large box of rice and tax. Crazy. This is a symptom of a larger problem 'round here.

Somewhat of a different story, but I got burned on iced tea once before when I was in California. I ordered an iced tea and the waitress/actress came back with some weird passion fruit iced tea combination drink. I told her I wanted iced tea, and she said all she had was the passion fruit kind. The lady behind me overheard the confusion and said "Oh, you don't have regular iced tea. Cancel my drink order." I was pretty proud of that.

The Thai places I went to in Seattle were outstanding. Not sure if they are representative though. Wild Ginger was more fusiony. Thai Ginger was in a mall, but it was really good. There's got to be a lot of better places out there too.

Drove down to the DC area yesterday to visit friends. Normally a ~3.5 hour trip took 6.5 hours, because TWO FUCKING LANES OF THE BRIDGE OVER THE SUSQUEHANNA WERE CLOSED BECAUSE OF ONE - ONE! - FUCKING ASSHOLE WELDING SOMETHING. ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON. WHAT. THE. FUCK.
they were a chick hanging out with her friends at a bar, the Phillies would be the 320 lb chick with a nose wart and a dick - Trent Steele

Might as well throw a couple of recommendations in for SK here... Have yet to experience Thai food (or any Asian food, to be honest) that compares to what I had in Seattle. For Thai, O'Char and Noodle Boat in Issaquah were my favorites. For Vietnamese you can't beat Jenny Pho in Issaquah. Also, for Japanese, the yakisoba at Teriyaki House on Cougar Mountain in Bellevue is incredible (take I-90 West to exit 13 and head up Lakemont Blvd SE until you see a small shopping center on the left).

Man I'm hungry..
