I called my mom first to see if it was alright. She said I would be dumb not to and yeah we usually go to my grams early but we will just do it in the afternoon instead.

Mom was a nurse in a hospital and had to work every other Christmas. One year, my sisters and I had a vote whether to wait until after my mom got home at 3 or open the presents before she left work which would mean getting up at 5. It was 2-1 on getting up early. My one sister's argument "the presents will be the same at 3:30 pm as they are at 5 am fell on deaf ears.

That is the scariest thing I've ever witnessed. I just had my two cats spayed because of what I seen when my parents cat went into heat. It seemed like its back legs were broke and she was obviously super horny.

I'm working on Christmas, wish I could work more. Usually we don't do anything after exchanging gifts at my parents' house but this year we get to go booze up afterward at a friend's house I guess.

Bad news. Thomas Haden Church didn't try to bang my girlfriend. But he was super fucking cool. Hung out about 10 feet from Scarlett Johansson all night. And Parker Posey said hi to me like I was someone important. Got pretty drunk and started feeling like I belonged there but didn't do anything stupid. Success!
Some other observations:

I was really curious about whether they played previews at these things. They didn't.

The actors and actresses get the most attention at the afterparty but the fattest guy is the most important.

Man, I'm totally just stalling right now. I made plans to go visit my grandmother in the hospital today, but it's like five hours away. It sounded like a good idea yesterday (and it really is, she'll be glad I stopped by, but dammit I don't want to drive five hours through Florida).
