Found this out the hard way recently too. The only reason we still have that account is for depositing the odd check - all of our other banking is through ING.

Do they charge for having no money or having no activity? I have a couple accounts that I keep like 5 dollars in so they don't get autoclosed for having a 0 balance.

What the fuck is it with these goddam HR portals? I had the same thing happen to me this morning, I was taking some required bullshit training class that the site says will take an hour and twenty five minutes to complete. The site times out after 45, the training doesn't, but the site does. So you take the class and when you complete it, it can't report that you completed it to the HR portal. Then when you go back in you have to take it from where you where when it timed out. fuck.

i just watched a show called unusual suspect. it profiled some 17 yr old kid who murdered someone "to see if he could get away with it," his words. then some woman who murdered 3 elderly ladies and tried to kill another just to steal their credit cards so she could go on shopping sprees. wtf is wrong with people?

And then there's the people who purposely leave the cap on the ketchup bottle open, so the top gets all crusty. People are the worst.

but the people who unscrew the salt lid, then leave it sitting on top so it looks like it's on and people end up with a salt mountain on their food, they're OK in my book.

My big condiment peeve is why mustard is these days always in a squeeze bottle. Invariably, you end up with that urine like water all over your bun or frank. And mustard simply lacks the viscosity of ketchup, so once it's half gone, you pretty much end up taking the cap off anyway, but because the opening is so narrow, it's a real pain. Mustard should be in tubs. Heck, squeeze mayo works better than squeeze mustard.

you can buy mustard in a jar. i do.

I know. ANd yet, all three mustards at my house are squeeze bottles--it's a question of brand and size selection I think. From now on though, no more mustard squeeze bottles.

I get Gulden's spicy brown mustard at Costco in 6-packs of the squeeze bottles. Works fine provided you store it cap down and give it a shake before squeezing.

I learned early on to always give a squirt into the sink or ground first when using a mustard bottle
