I don't know. when I was looking for apartments in Fishtown a few years ago, there were tons that had been recently rehabbed as quickly and as shabbily as possible. half-assed drywall, one coat of crap paint, wouldn't be surprised if worse stuff like non-functioning outlets and lack insulation turned up after you lived there for a while. could be pretty risky to take a place when there's no pressure on the owner to do a good job

For Halloween last year, a friend of mine and his girlfriend dressed up as Troy Polamalu and a bottle of Head and Shoulders. They sent a pic of themselves to the Steelers marketing department asking for Troy's autograph. They received it back yesterday, autographed by Polamalu along with a letter from the Steelers saying they wanted to frame a copy of the pic and put it up in Heinz Field.

I lived in the NE till I was 23 and I loved it too: crazy crossovers at 50 MPH (what other road has these?); impossible left hand turns when crossing at Welsh. I don't go back often, and now that I've been gone so long, it's like I've completely lost the ability to drive on it.
