that's awesome, The Dude. what bars are you near now?

Dawson st. is the on right nearby. Good beer and food. They have jazz and other live music throughout the week. I can't remember the names of the other two bars nearby, but we looked online when we were considering this place and one had two hearted ale and pliny the elder on tap the night we looked.

when we were talking to the bartender, she was saying how college kids don't go to this area. Our neighbor said the same thing. He said the only noise comes from these 8 year old redheaded skateboarders that get into small fights once in a while. We saw them walking to the bar and their mom was yelling at them.

That's awesome. It's pretty much the suburbs up there so if you're not near the college kids and you can walk to a bar you're set. Though in my experience parking is a bitch.

Yeah, the block is pretty tight-knit, too.

Psychologically, i needed to take a drive there without getting on 76, so we just took Ridge all the way and it just felt like we were going to our friends in Brewerytown (not really)

plus the bartender told us about the secret bike race before the bike race, drinking outside at midnight

re: parking, yah, we were told not to move the car after 8 on Friday. The only time this will be a big problem is when we go to see family on saturday's. However, our landlord said he's going to show us the parking people don't know about, b/c it's weird

haha, Ridge Ave. is a little sketchy in some places. But it's a pretty easy ride. I'm a huge fan of Kelly Drive, personally. I think that's my favorite road to drive in the city.

bike races are the best

I love Kelly Drive. Except at night, because my car has horrible headlights and that makes the road moderately dangerous.

My leg hair is pathetic, but I do walk or jog 5-10 miles every day. My calves and my beard are my only redeeming qualities.

Those red lights are so long. Even worse is if you're in the car with someone who drives in the outside lanes.

The Dawson St. Pub brings back memories. My ex lived two doors down from it when we were first dating. Her roommate was dating the owner's brother, who was a raging heroin addict. Good thymes.

well, they said they'd be finished by the time we moved in but he's wary of that because of our current place at which our landlord didn't do anything that he said was going to be done.
